Fundação Estudar is a non-profit organization created in 1991 by Jorge Paulo Lemann, Beto Sicupira, and Marcel Telles.We emerged at a time when no one really knew the path to getting into the best universities abroad, and only a very select group had the chance to pursue an MBA overseas.

It was to change this scenario that we began offering scholarships to talented Brazilians who are deeply committed to making a difference not only in their own communities, but throughout Brazil.

Since then, we have fostered a comunidade com mais de 1000 trajetórias inspiradoras of people who went on to study at the best universities in Brazil and abroad and who multiplied their own impact: the researcher striving to 3D-print a human heart; the lawyer internationally recognized as the best in the world in her field; the second most-voted federal deputy from Espírito Santo in 2018 and the first visually impaired person in the history of Congress; the entrepreneurs who built a billion-dollar fintech in Silicon Valley; and many others.
